Happy 4th of July- we are missing Texas Bar-B-Que and fireworks but still enjoying the freedom we have in Christ-
This month we want to focus on the names of Czechs that God has brought us in contact with. Please pray for their salvation.
1. Illona- Czech college basketball player attending the University of South Carolina. She is home in Hradec for the summer.
2. Mr. and Mrs. B- He had an aneurism and is in the hospital for 3 months. He is having difficulty communicating, eating, and cannot walk. She is very tired and unsure about his future.
3. Marta- 6 months pregnant, tired, and needs lots of rest. Protection for mother and the baby.
4. Milos- 3 month job assignment in England. Pray for his safety
5. Vera- Harold’s new language teacher at the local university.
6. A new neighbor- A Czech woman fluent in English. Moving into her apartment this month.
7. Zdenek- Associate pastor of Vysoke Myto; diagnosed with diabetes and making adjustments to life with insulin treatments.
8. Tomas and Monika- neighbors
9. Lukas, Tomas, Zuzka, Pavel, and Andrej- kids in the neighborhood dropping by to visit Taylor and Hayden
10. Over 100 Czechs attending the English Youth and Family camps during the month of July. Pray specifically for these friends from HK:
Eva, Martina and 3 children, Milos, Katerina, Veronika, and others.
11. Mark and Jana- friends who need Christ
12. Petra and her mother- She is the veterinary assistant who keeps our dog. Also pray for Dr. Vanek and the other assistants that we see often as the vet clinic is across from our house.
13. Lady who works at a furniture store: Interested in talking about our Christian work; tells us that everyone in HK is atheist.
14. Frank- works at the local bazaar.
15. Olga- teacher in a village open to meeting with our family.
16. Blahos, Milos, Daniel- local Czech Baptist Pastors with whom Harold is developing friendships and offering assistance for ministry.
17. Mr. Miroslav- respected figure in the neighborhood. Harold is developing a new relationship with him.
18. Martin- Professor of English literature at local university for 30 years. He has offered to help Harold improve in Czech.
19. Philosophy students at the university with whom Harold will be meeting in the fall.
20. Older couple in the neighborhood selling home-grown flowers.
